Vice-President of the Institute of Chartered Foresters, a Chartered Arboriculturist, and an Expert Witness, Sharon’s specialties are trees and construction, protected trees, tree root investigations, and trees and well-being (including community engagement). Sharon brings thirteen years experience as a local government tree and landscape officer, before developing an environmental consultancy in Essex between 2007-2014. As managing director, she built up the ecological and arboricultural consultancy to a team of twenty. Actively involved in the media, she designs and delivers award- winning community projects, as well as being a regular conference presenter and trainer for Trevor Roberts Associates. In 2019 she took her place on the board of the IASHK (Institute of Arboricultural Studies Hong Kong), as an advisor.
Fellow of the Arboricultural Association, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Foresters, Top Student award 2005 for AA Technician’s Certificate, Expert Witness (Bond Solon), and ex-manager of a multiple award-winning team delivering innovative community projects. She is the voice of The Tree Lady Talks podcasts.

Noel brings nearly 40 years of people-focused, administrative experience to the practice. Sharon’s Personal Assistant for the last 9 years, he has enabled SHA to develop a media side to the business, creating films to enable better understandings of industry practices, such as Tree Radar and latterly with the Tree Lady Talks podcasts. He organises the company consultants, and is the point of contact for all enquiries.
Ian Lee, Associate Principal Arboricultural Consultant
BSc (Hons), MICFor, MArbor A, Tech Cert (Arbor A)
Ian has fifteen years experience as an arboricultural consultant in the private and public sector. Ian is a professional member of the Arboricultural Association and has a degree in Forestry, and has considerable expertise in problem solving in relation to trees and the planning process and dealing with complex construction issues.
With a deep understanding and knowledge on the operation and interpretation of TreeRadar©, he carried out two research and development visits with SHA in 2016. This research was continued in 2019 with international colleagues.
Ian has managed a team delivering volume tree surveys, and has produced woodland management plans. He is now the owner and Director of Tree Radar UK
